Overview
I am a newly certified yoga teacher with a personal practice rooted in mindfulness, breath awareness, and fascination with yoga?s heritage. Guided by the teachings of Sri M, I see yoga as a path of inner transformation?one that extends far beyond the mat. My approach blends accessible, thoughtful sequencing with an emphasis on breath as the anchor for both movement and stillness. I?m passionate about creating a welcoming space for students of all levels and am eager to grow my teaching experience.
Personal Journey and Teaching Philosophy
What drew me to Yoga
I was first drawn to yoga as a way to slow down and find balance in a demanding life, without fully understanding its depth or heritage. At the time, the Sanskrit terms and philosophical ideas felt distant and abstract. Guided by the teachings of spiritual masters like Sri M, I have learnt that it is a living connection to an ancient lineage, and a daily reminder that the journey inward is as vast and beautiful as the world outside.
My Years of Yoga Teaching
I am a newly certified yoga teacher and am eager to develop my teaching experience. So far, I have led small group and one-on-one sessions with friends, family, and colleagues, focusing on building confidence in sequencing and cueing.
Journey into Yoga
I began practising yoga as a way to find balance between a busy professional life and inner stillness. It has become much more than a physical practice, deepening my awareness of breath, respect for my body as a temple and vehicle for spiritual growth, and given me strength and balance. My inspiration continues to grow from the way yoga transforms not only how I move, but how I live.
Strengths as a Yoga Teacher
I bring a calm, encouraging presence to my classes, creating a space where students feel safe to explore their practice. My strengths lie in clear, accessible cueing, thoughtful sequencing, and adapting postures to meet individual needs. I draw on my own journey to blend mindful movement with breath awareness, helping students build both strength and inner stillness.
Core Yoga Principles
The principle that has most shaped my practice is the awareness of breath as the bridge between body and mind. Learning to move with the breath, whether in stillness or in flow, is an anchor.
